ABOUT TOUCANICAL
Meet Toucanical
Toucanical is the mechanical toucan mascot of Quirky Marketing — part studio bird, part experimental showroom assistant, and part very committed piece of engineering theatre.
He was developed at Quirky Labs in 2020 after an entirely sensible conversation about whether a marketing company really needed a robot toucan. The answer, quite obviously, was yes.
After a period of testing, tinkering and the occasional dramatic stare into the middle distance, Toucanical officially entered operation in 2021. Since then he has become the resident face of odd ideas, moving inventions and projects that sit somewhere between branding, machinery and mild science fiction.

AUTOMATA A playful mechanical build inspired by classic seaside movement and fairground charm, designed to bring a small scene to life with motion and character.
My love of mechanical inventions goes right back to childhood, when I was forever taking things apart and tinkering to see how everything worked. That same curiosity still drives these projects today, from 3D printing and moving displays to odd little machines that sit somewhere between engineering, theatre and pure mischief.
